Morcos, MD, 73,
died Dec. 29, 2016.
After earning his
MD and completing
a residency in
Ohio State, Dr.
Morcos spent two years in the U.S.
Navy at Bethesda Naval Hospital.
During his long career, he was on the
staff of Harding Hospital, maintained
a clinical appointment at Ohio State,
worked as a prison consultant for many
years with the Ohio Department of
Rehabilitation and Correction, and was
a staff psychiatrist at Twin Valley Mental
’69 Stephen J. Buday, MD, 73, died
Feb. 23, 2017. Dr. Buday practiced
at Mount Carmel for 47 years while
serving as chair of the Department
of Surgery for three years. He was a
seven-time recipient of the Teacher of
the Year Award and received a Thomas
H. Hartranft, MD, Award in Recognition
for Outstanding Leadership in Surgical
Resident Education. He was a fellow
of the American College of Surgeons,
a member of multiple professional
societies and served on numerous
committees. In 1990, he was one of the
founders of Metropolitan Surgery, an
office practice that has continued to
expand and thrive.
’74 Thomas George Grossman, MD,
66, died Mar. 15, 2016. He completed
his residency in obstetrics/gynecology
at the University of Michigan’s University
Hospital. He practiced at Women’s
Medical Center in Fremont, OH, from
1978 until he retired in 2006, delivering
many new babies into the world.
’91 Kristen R. Earle (Hardcastle), MD,
50, died July 22, 2016. She graduated
